Summer workouts
Hey new runners and old! Here are some things you can do this summer to make sure you are ready for cross country season.
1. Run! Make sure you run every other day for at least twenty minutes. Work up to 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Try to run at least one or two good hills in each workout; this will help lengthen your stride.
2. Stretch. Make sure you stretch after every run. Before is good, but after is necessary.
3. Strengthen. Try to do some core strengthening exercises 3 or 4 times a week. That way you will be less likely to injure yourself, especially your back.
